Community Calendar

This calendar is meant to serve as a central location for events happening in Mount Gretna, but be sure to also check out the announcement boards around town, located by the Post Office, Hall of Philosophy porch, and Mount Gretna Information Center to stay up to date.

Additionally, each summer, a printed calendar book is prepared listing all upcoming events for the season. A digital version of that booklet will be linked here before the summer season begins.

In the 1890s, the Pennsylvania Chautauqua Society chose to establish Mt. Gretna, lured by the area's natural allure. Today, that same charm endures — with rolling, wooded hills, a meandering stream, and a serene lake.

As summer unfolds, the Chautauqua's legacy of education and culture continues, showcasing top-notch offerings in music, theater, and art. As the air turns crisper, Mt. Gretna dons some of the most breathtaking foliage in the Northeast. When winter arrives, cross-country skiers revel in meticulously groomed, picturesque trails. Spring blankets the landscape in a serene, green calm, enveloping acres of protected Gamelands laced with extensive trails for both mountain biking and hiking enthusiasts.
